PSYCHEDELICES

1943-2023: LSD, 80 YEARS OF DAYDREAMING

PARIS 2023-24

Curated by Jaïs Elalouf

To mark the 80th anniversary of Albert Hofmann's discovery of LSD in April 1943, here's an art-total event presenting its echoes in society from the Beatles to the underground, in all fields. A 350m2 exhibition in five parts, featuring contemporary artists, art blotters, a collection of vintage works, the immersive Fluo Box and the Psychedelic Shop. This tribute to the indomitable molecule is more topical than ever with the so-called "Psychedelic Renaissance". Over the past ten years, a number of conclusive clinical trials of therapies, notably for depression and addiction, have balanced its tenuous demonization in the collective unconscious. This original exhibition presents lithographed artistic blotters, pre-cut into small squares, which have never been soaked in psychotropic drugs and are collected for their aesthetic or sentimental value.
