Emilie Bitauld was born in Brittany in 1979 and she’s currently based in Paris.

She studied art at the Sorbonne and at the Beaux-arts. She specialized in the cultural project engineering domain and in international development.

Since 2014, she has been devoted full time to her artistic practice. She has been exposed France and abroad. Philosophy and anthropology play an important role in her work that operates the junction between art and science. 

 “Questioning certainties and syncretic doubt predominate. Interweaving painting, writing, photography, collage, performance and installation, Emilie Bitauld makes the artistic choice of a "whole" that abolishes geographical and artistic borders”.
